How to wear your favorite MLB baseball hat with style

Since I live in Texas, I've choosen to style this adorable, satin Texas Rangers MLB hat.  I love that the satin adds a little girlie-ness to it, don't you?

Baseball season in Texas is all about keeping cool, relaxing at the baseball stadium, cheering on the home team and having fun in the sun, BUT just because the sun is scorching doesn't mean we can't still be stylish. There are tons of different MLB Hats out there to fit with tons of different outfit options....you know I love having tons of different accessory options!! ;-)

Here's how I would style my Texas Ranger Hat for a fun day out with my hubby doing our usual Saturday thing....breakfast at a hole-in-the-wall place, taking the pups for a walk around our neighborhood and maybe some shopping or a movie matinee. Remember, baseball hats aren't just for baseball games. ;-)

It's My Evolution's photo.

Progress isn't just about the number of the scale!!

I was looking through my progress pictures after taking some pictures in my new bikini and found some back from September 2014.  I put them side by side with my new pics.  No....my body hasn't changed a ton, BUT

-I feel more confident (always a work in progress)
-I have NOT back slid or lost sight of my goals
- I may not have reached my final goals, but I am still pushing...and hey, that is something to be proud of.

I'm excited to see where my journey takes me by September 2015 and you can be sure that I'll be documenting it all along the way on this little ole' blob, because I love having a place to share what's going on.

What are some of your non-scale victories?  Share below!! ~Kendra

My goals for this week:
-Get my workout in every day
-Lose 2lbs

DIY Tummy Wrap

So several of my friends are in to wrapping and I wanted to see what all the hype was about.  Now before we get started I will say, things like this are NOT for weight loss or health purpose....I feel like it really just rids your tummy of access water weight and tightens a bit for special events.  I doubt it's a lasting result, BUT it's fun to give things a shot. ;-)

What you'll need:
-Bentonite Clay
-Firming lotion (any brand)
-Saran wrap
-a makeup bruse of small paint brush
-A tummy wrap or exercise wrap

So I took some Bentonite Clay and some firming lotion and mixed them in a Dixie cup.

Then I simply applied the mixture to both my tummy and arms with a clean makeup brush.

Once the areas were coated, I wrap them in saran wrap.  I also added a tummy wrap on top of the saran wrap over my tummy to make sure it stayed in place.

I slept with all the wraps on & put a sweatshirt over it to make sure the wraps on my arms stayed in place.

(From left to right: Before pic, all wrapped and then the after)

I could definatelty see and feel a difference in my tummy & it was a fun little experiment.  Have you ever tried wrapping your tummy?  How'd it go?

21 Day Fix- Starting A New Round

Just started a new round of the 21 Day Fix workouts and I've done 4 days so far. ((It's Day 5 now.))

Gosh, I LOVE this program-->>  It's challenging, fun and GETS you results in JUST 21 days.  It's crazy!

Here's how it's going so far:

Day One-> Worked out on the patio in our backyard on a rare non-rainy morning.  The rain has been coming down nonstop in Texas this year.  So weird!!

Day Two- Lucked out with another patio workout.  Don't you love it when the workouts so tough that the cool down is such a relief. :-)

Day Three- Had to move my workout in doors.  Worked my arms & my legs were so sore I felt like I was waddling all day. haha

Day Four- My little, teeny baby abs sure did feel the burn....plus I had a lovely little cough that gave me an extra reminder of their soreness every 5 seconds.  Good times!

What workout are you currently doing?  Have you ever tried the 21 Day Fix?  Share below! ~Kendra~

What I'm Eating & What Supplments I'm Taking

Let's get started with my personal fav-->>  The Food!!

Here's exactlty what I ate on Monday.  Also, I'm following an Itermittent Fasting plan where I fast until 11am everyday and eat until 7pm.

Breakfast (at 11am)- Banana, Greek Yogurt & Whoe Grain Cherrios
Lunch (at 12pm)- A whole wheat wrap with turkey slices, one slice of cheese, spinach leaves and mustard with lemoade

Afternoon Snack (About 2:30pm) - Carrots w/hummus and all-natural applesauce
Dinner- (About 5:30pm)- We had breakfast for dinner-> 1 egg, 2 slices of turkey bacon, 1/2 cup of crushed pineapple and a piece of dry toast
After dinner snack (About 6:30pm)- A small bowl of Whoe Grain Cherrios w/1cup of unsweetened almond milk

Now on to the supplements:

For my pre-workout drink, I use Energy & Endurance which is a yummy drink that tastes like lemonade, fuels my morning workouts and doesn't ever make me crash.

In the evenings before bed, I take Vitamin C, Fish Oil, Zinc, Vitamin D and Melatonin.  Since starting the melatonin last week, my sleep pattern has been incredible....I have slept deeper and without any interruption....gotta love that!!

Capsule Wardrobe Challenge: Week 1-3 Review

I love a good challenge, but as I continue this one in the future I think I'll choose less pieces and a shorter time frame. Like working from 10 pieces for 2 weeks. I LOVE the challenge of mixing and matching, but I also have lots of clothes I love.

Sticking to my capsule sure has made picking out my clothes in the morning super easy & fun, which is why I want to continue it....just in my own modified way. ;-) Fashion is about what works for you and your life, right?!

Here's a little review of all my outfits thus far:

Remixing these items has been a blast!!  I'm excited to see how the end of May goes and to share more of this process with y'all.

Here are a few things I've learned so far:
-Working with less items forces you to be more creative.
-I'm drawn to simple pieces with interesting details.  (like a black vneck tee with a ruffle around the bottom)
-Accenting with different accessories can TOTALLY change an outfit.

Are you (or have you) done this challenge?  If so, what are a few things you've learned along the way?  Share in the comments! :-D

Beachbody On Demand-> It's my JAM!!!

I have gone through a few portable DVD players in the last year....one wore out, Noah chewed through a cord (or two) and I am NOT going to purchase another one any time soon.  The only thing I used it for was my workouts, so now (thanks to Beachbody On Demand) I've been using my Mac Book Pro and LOVING it!!!  No DVDs to lug around and no useless electronics involved.

If I feel like a dance workout, I'm covered:

If I wanna kick it old school, they've got that too:

Or if I wanna try a newer workout that's just 21 Days, that's an option as well:

And thanks to the awesome trainers and great workouts, the results WILL come if you're consistent and give it your all.....

....so, what are you waiting for?  NOW is a great time to get started with Beachbody On Demand through the Team Beachbody Club Membership!! :-) The 1st 30 days are FREE so if you're not as in LOVE with it as I am, you can cancel before the 30days is up and not get charged. ((Gotta love a good garuntee!))

Capsule Wardrobe Challenge: Week 2 In Review

Here are all the outfit I wore during Week 2 of the challenge.  I didn't include Saturday & Sunday, because we were traveling and I basically work comfy clothes (thing DC Comic Sweatshirt, jeans & sandals lol).  Anyways, here's what I wore:

I remixed a few items from last week and also added in some items from the capsule that I hadn't yet worn. This way of dressing seriously makes outfit planning less stressful, super simple and quick.  I also love that I'm taking advantage of more of my accessories.  I have an entire accessory closet in my office, I might as well use them. :-D

I also noticed that my black pumps featured in the 4th outfit from the left were wearing out, so I went to payless and found an awesome pair of black peep toe heels for $20....so I put the old pumps in the donate pile and replaced them with my new black heels. I'm also on the look out for some bright colored heels since I already chunked my pink peep toes into the donate pile for their lack of comfort.

Which outfit from this past week is your fav?  Share below!! ~Kendra~

Focus on your nonscale victories!!

Non Scale Victories are those little victories along the way that have NOTHING to do with what number's on the scale.  Don't live by the number alone....listen to your body, take progress pictures and keep track of how you've improved in your workouts.  Sometimes we get hung up on that number like that one number is the thing that will change our whole lives.

Yes, weight loss is awesome, but it does NOT define you. ;-)  It's just a small piece of a bigger picture.  It's just one part of your journey to be your best self.

What non scale victories have you accomplished lately?  Are you finally able to do a pullup (I'm still working on that one)? Able to fit in smaller jeans?  Running faster? Sticking to your clean eating meal plan? Drinking more water?

Whatever it is that you've accomplished that's gotten you ONE step closer to your goals should be celebrated!!!  Little goals along the way will keep you motivated and able to stick it out when times get tough. You've got this!!!!

My latest non scale vistory is increased definition in my calves and a little less jiggle in my arms. Am I at my ultimate goal? No, not yet....BUT there's progress and that is reason enough for me to be excited and proud.

Today take pride in all that you've accomplished this far!  I'm so proud of you!! :-D  ~Kendra~

Back in the Pool-> Beginner Swim Workout

I used to be in swimming...I started when I was in elementary and did club swimming.  I then swam on the teams in Middle School and most of High School. I was never super great, but I had fun.  I also love the feeling swimming gives....it's a different kind of soreness.  PLUS, it's not hard on my back like weight lifting can be.

Anyways, I created this simple 750 yard swim workout for me and my hubby and we used it yesterday.  Took us about an hour to complete and it felt great!!

If you try it, be sure to let me know how it goes!! Who else likes to add swimming into their fitness routine?  What's your fav. stroke?    Share below!! :-)   ~Kendra~

May Capsule Wardrobe Challenge: Week 1 in Review

Week 1 of the May Capsule Wardrobe Challenge went GREAT!  There are even still lots of pieces I haven't worn yet and I have NOT repeated any jewelry either (Jewelry's not included in my capsule, but I'm focusing on taking advantage of my big jewelry stash.).

On Monday, I wore my pink peep toe heels and they were just plain uncomfortable....I'm getting rid of anything that doesn't make me feel confident and just good in it, so I already tossed them in the donate pile and will be on the lookout for a bold peeptoe heel as a replacement.

Also, I absolutely LOVE wearing black pumps and they match a TON, but mine are getting a bit worn out so that's something I've added to my future shopping list as well.

Now let's talk button down shirts-->> Just in 1 week I found that prior to this little challenge I was NOT taking advantage of all the button downs in my closet.  I thought they were a bit boring, but after this week I am excited about the possibilities for remixing they offer....yay!!

Are you using a capsule wardrobe?  If so, what are some of the things you've learned so far?  Share below!  ~Kendra~

The Beachbody Sisterhood of Girl Bosses

One of my absolute fav parts of being a coach is the community of girlfriends.....true, kind and passionate ladies who love... helping others and are on their own journeys to be their best selves too. Plus...(BONUS)...most of them love their furbabies and clothes just as much as me.

Last year I got to go to a beautiful cabin outside of Pittsburgh and hangout with TONS of new girlfriends and it's acctually where I met my Beachbody Bestie whose wedding I'm going to be in this November.....crazy, right?!

Also, last month I got to go to Atlanta on a work trip for my social media job and honestly I was nervous....I had never been and I don't normally travel much for work. (apparently that's changing this summer lol)  Anyways, my coworkers that were going all had plans with friends they knew from Atlanta so I was affraid I'd just be stcuk in my hotel room after work, BUT when I posted about the trip on Facebook, I realized one of my Beachbody friends lives in Atlanta, so she picked me up from the hotel and we did a bunch of shopping and went out to dinner and a fab place called Twist.  It turned out to be an amazing trip.....and it's all thanks to the Beachbody and the wonderful girlfriends it's brought into my life.

I am SOOOO excited about this summer...last night the planning began and I am getting to meet up with so many of my Beachbody girlfriends in person thanks to a bit of work travel. This network of coaches is incredible....they ARE normal people just like YOU on a journey to help others and live their best lives along the way.

Seriously, why aren't you joining in yet??!!  ~Kendra~
