How do I become an I.M.E. Style Insider?

-You may join the program by clicking on our menu at the top of the page.

How does the I.M.E. Style Insider program actual work?

-Once you apply and are approved as a Style Insider, you can add a I.M.E. button to your blog or website and place links on your website and social media such as banners, text links, etc.  Be sure your customers use your name (as listed when you signed up) so you get credit for their purchase or entry.

Sign Ups: When a visitor signs up using your name, you receive credit for their sign up.

Benefits: At the end of each month, I.M.E. sends you an email with the number of sign ups you referred along with all the awards, freebies and insider tips you've earned.

What does it cost to become a Style Insider?

-It's totally FREE to join our I.M.E. Style Insider program.

Does I.M.E. have a person I can contact for additional questions?

-Yes, we're here and ready to help you have success as a Style Insider. Please feel free to email us at itsmyevolution@gmail.com for help or more info.

Are special incentives available for high-performing insiders?

-Yes, high performing insiders get to enjoy special bonuses and lots of other exclusive benefits. Once you've referred five of your fashionista friends you're eligible to be an Featured Style Insider. Featured Insiders receive 2 months of their subscription FREE, features on our social media channels, I.M.E. swag, and much more! 

Can I use It's My Evolution links, banners, products, pictures, etc. anywhere on my website or social media channels?

-Yes, you sure can! Try to think about placements on your site, blog and social pages that will be most appealing to potential I.M.E. customers and where you believe it would generate the most sales so you can earn the most rewards & share this awesome subscription with your friends and viewers.

How many I.M.E. links, banners, products, etc can I place on my website and social media channels?

-However many you'd like! We encourage you to use as much advertisement as you'd like so you can conversions. Creative banners along with text links or using the I.M.E. logo can really help.

Can Style Insider's use I.M.E. graphics and content from the your blog/website? 

You're welcome to use any images and content from our blog/website to promote our product on your website and social media for the Style Insider program....just make sure you give credit to us as the creator of the content.....BUT creating your own unique images is a great way to really connect with your unique audience.  Try using Picmonkey (which we LOVE) for creating fun graphics and banners.  

How do you handle product returns?

I.M.E. does not accept returns since thrift stores don't either, so there's nothing to worry about there.  True fashionistas can make anything work. ;-)

How often do I get the rewards I've earned?

At the end of each month, I.M.E. will send you an email showing the number of sign ups you referred that particular month along with all the awards, freebies and insider tips you've earned. We'll then send out your rewards within the 1st week of the following month.

7 Day Feel Good Blogging Challenge-> DAY TWO

That's right, it's Day Two of the 7 Day Feel Good Blogging Challenge by Alex Beaden and today I'm sharing my entrepreneurial story-->> What drew me to entreprenuership, what challenges I faced, how I've overcome them, getting clients and my biggest lesson thus far.

 

 

 

I've always had the entreprenuerial mindset.....in High School I started my swim team's 1st ever cheerleading sqaud, in college at Texas Woman's University I helped start the 1st ever cheerleading squad called the Trailblazers.....TWU doesn't have football, but we had tons of other sports worth cheering for!!  In highschool I started my own philanthropy platform called Purse Pals, where I personally mentored young girls for a lower income school district, took them shopping and gifted them a purse with full of goodies. From lemonade stands to nonprofits, I just loved to create ideas and jump in head first to get them off the ground. 

 

Post college, I faced the normal challenges and pressures to conform to the normal 8-5 corporate America lifestyle.  I do have a 9-5 social media job now, but I am also living out my entrepreneurial dreams one step forward at a time.  What really held me back, before going full force with It's My Evolution, was my own self-doubt, insecurities and my old wall-flower ways. 

 

As silly as it can sometimes seem...personal development, plugging into mentorship opportunities with amazing leaders and words of affirmation have really helped me change my mindset and seriously-->>> When you change your mindset, you change your life!!

 

The way I've gained clients for It's My Evolution and have really began to grow my tribe is by sharing....sharing my health & fitness journey, sharing my outfits each day, sharing my struggles, sharing my faith....really JUST sharing me and who I am.  When I learned to be authentically me and not a copy-cat version of all the other girls around me, that's when my passion really ignited and I was able to push fear aside and start kicking my goals into high gear.

 

The biggest lesson I've learned so far is to NOT let fear or self-limiting beliefs hold you back.  Once I let go of my doubt and just assumed I can and will get to my goals....I felt free and have been able to share unapologetically and it sure feels good to be able to just be ME!

7 Day Feel Good Blogging Challenge-> DAY ONE

As part of Alex Beadon’s 7-Day Feel Good Blogging Challenge,  I'm writing this little 'ole post to share a few things with you, like-->>who I am, who this blog is for ((YOU)) and, of course, what I hope to share here on It's My Evolution going forward.

Who I am

 

I'm a wife, furmom to Zoey (a 7yr old Shih Tzu) and Noah (a 10mth old Dorkie), God fearing, fashion loving entrepreneur....BUT entrepreneurship wasn't something I was a natural at in the beginning.  In high school, I was the poster child for wall-flowers everywhere....think super shy, over-weight, picked on and terrified of what everyone else thought about me.  I was paralyzed by other opinions so I just stood still....never danced at school dances, never approached cute boys, never jumped outside my comfort zone UNTIL my senior year of high school something inside me changed.  I began going to counseling and through that I gained the courage to be myself and start being ME. 

 

I decided that I was made for so much more than the side-lines....God created me (and YOU) to shine brightly and share our passions with others.  I started by competing in a beauty pageant and singing a solo at the school talent show....yeah, I didn't just step outside my comfort zone, I dove in head first and I am forever grateful that I did. 

 

My journey from over-weight wall-flower to passionate entrepreneur has taught me so much and I can't even begin to describe how thankful I am that I get to share that journey with all of you!!!

 

 

 

Who It's My Evolution is for

 

It's My Evolution is for women who are on a journey, family focused fashionistas who love to hunt down a good deal, travel enthusiasts, ladies of faith who are pursing God's will for their lives, dog lovers, women workin on their fitness and entrepreneurs in the making. It's for those who want to embrace their unique style, meet their health & fitness goals and love their lives passionately.

 

I.M.E. is for women, like you, who may have started life as wall-flowers, but discovered that they were made for more and have a passionate, divine purpose.

 

 

What you'll see and learn along the way

 

I began blogging in college and it all started with a little blog called "Low Cost, High Style" where I shared my daily outfits with all the details (where I got them & how much they cost), a few DIY projects and styling tips along the way. As I kept blogging, I decided I wanted to share MORE than just my love of fashion....I wanted to share my weight loss journey, my travels and my life with all of you, so that's where It's My Evolution was born.

 

On I.M.E., you'll still see me share outfits & DIYs, but you'll also see posts about my travels (working on hitting up all 50 states), my family (My hubby, Beau and our pups), my workouts (right now, I'm doing the 21 Day Fix Extreme), what I'm eating and It's My Evolution's NEWEST endeavour, our monthly thrifty subscription box.  I want to share my journey to encourage you as you travel down your own path, because isn't life just so much more fun when we go through it together?!

How to get started as an It's My Evolution Style Insider

 

The #1 goal of our Style Insider program is to acquire new customers with the help of I.M.E. fashionistas just like you. By becoming a Style Insider, you can qualify for sweet savings, get insider info before it hits the blog and grow your social media following all while introducing It's My Evolution's thrify subscription service to all your readers and friends.

 

Getting Started as a Style Insider 

 

Step 1: Apply for the program.

Step 2: Receive your approval via email with your Style Insider Digital Business Card and a badge for your blog or website.

Step 3: Start sharing I.M.E. with your customers and followers. ((Remember to have everyone mention your name on their style profile form so you get credit.))

Do I need a website or social media accounts?

 

Heck no! If you're a social butterfly who loves sharing in person, we love that too! You will just need to make sure your friends mention your name at checkout or on their Style Insider application, so you get the credit. As a Style Insider you'll have access to a FREE printable business card where you will insert your info to hand out to friends.

How Do I Get My Free Subscription?

When you refer a couple of your friends you'll be promoted to the title of Featured I.M.E. Style Insider. Featured Style Insiders may receive FREE I.M.E. subscriptions, features on our social media channels, IM.E. swag and much more!

Dallas Blogger Collective Tea Party at The Vintage House

I recently joined the Dallas Blogger Collective (DBC), an awesome network of bloggers in the DFW area.  They host monthly events, blogger workshops, have fun volunteer oppourtunities and even sponsored brand oppourtunities. If your a blogger in the DFW area, it's so worth checking out....and hey, maybe we'll get to meet up at the next event!! :-D

 

Yesterday, DBC hosted an adorable little tea party at a local boutique, The Vintage House, in Carrolton, TX.  The house itself is super cute....think all pink and tons of old school charm. I LOVED it!! It would be such a fun backdrop for a photoshoot.

 

 

When I arrived at the event, I got to walk the pink carpet....

 

 

I honestly searched and searched for a dress to wear on Saturday, but I didn't find anything I just had to have....so I shopped my closet and pulled out this dress I bought a few years back from Dots.  Added some high red heels from Target, a fun belt and lots of bracelets.  It wasn't floral like I was originally going for, but I think it worked out even better than my original plan. ((Sometimes you just have to throw plans out the window haha))

 

Once inside, they had an adorable tea party area set up with a beautiful cake, lots of cute desserts and yummy tea.

 

 

After grabbing a little snack (hey, when at a tea party.....lol) and chatting with some of the other bloggers, I checked out all the goodies the store had to offer.  The Vintage House is waaaay bigger than it looked from the outside-->>3 floors PACKED to the brim with Vera Bradley, Kendra Scott, girlie quotes, adorable trinkets, candles and more.  It was a girlie paradise & styled so adorably!

 

 

At the end of the event, we all got back together for a fun drawing where they gave away about 12 Vera Bradley bags....I had no clue Vera Bradley now has a leather bag line.  They are so cute!!!  I didn't win, but it was awesome to get a peek at the new line...def adding these to my wish list!

 

The event was a blast and I am so glad I joined in on the Dallas Blogger Collective.  I can not wait for another fun event....there was even talk of an event for spouses and boyfriends who have the honor (haha) of taking all our daily outfit photos complete with tips from a legit photog and drinks once the trainings complete.  <
